Chemistry E-car

We put in so much time, effort, sweat and MONEY (!!!) on this project. Like meeting up almost every single morning before block tests and saturday mornings, sourcing for materials, buying the right type of vinegar and baking soda etc etc. We treid a billion times, but we failed many times too. I think we must have bought at least 20 bottles of vinegar in total, and finally we succeded only the week before the trial run. FOR ONCE THE CAR RAN MORE THAN 10M...

Just last Friday, the car managed to run about a fixed distance in a straight line in almost every try...and we were all pretty confident that everything would turn out fine on Monday. But luck wasn't on our side on Monday, before the trial run, the car only managed to run successfully ONCE. Better still, we ran out of vinegar and baking soda. Delia had to run to NTUC to get the vinegar and baking soda, but apparently the baking soda was SOLD OUT :( thankfully the other group had excess baking soda. But it was of a different brand we had not tried before. NO CHOICE...

In the end, other cars managed to run more than 10m. We were given two tries at first, but both times it failed... JUST FOR SOME REASON WHICH WE CAN'T REALLY FIGURED OUT! Mr Tan was so nice to give us another try but it just didn't run more than 5m. It barely moved an inch. FAILED :(

And when we tried another time with a different brand of baking soda, it actually ran 11m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that try wasn't counted. WTCHICKENNUGGET!

This friday is Good Friday = No School! WHOO! Long weekends ^^
