Taiwan Part I

I've finally edited and compiled the photos from the Taiwan trip! Yeah, which happened like 3 months ago! TIME FLIES.... Those 14 days spent in Taiwan were really one of the best times of my life (and yes, one of the best holiday ever). Made new friends (including Taiwan friends), ate A LOT of yummy food, shop shop and shop, and yes many new experiences which were very different from the first time I went to Taiwan. I LOVE TAIWAN SO MUCH. Especially the locals there...they are so so so friendly and warm (unlike singaporeans sighhhh). I love the weather there too. Though it's supposed to be winter, but generally the temp ranges from 20-24 degree Celsius..that's like the best temperature ever.Would have totally worn shorts out if we were ALLOWED to :( But it was raining ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DAY we were in Taiwan...! What luck.
Anyway, i am typing this based on what I remembered of the trip...which I said, happened 3 months ago. HAHAHA, KINDA FORGOT A LOT OF DETAILS. (i was supposed to post this before I left for my USA trip!!!!!)

DAY 1
6/11
Landed in Taoyuan in the afternoon....and the first thing we did was shopping! Yea, we were brought to one of the biggest shopping mall in Taoyan.

THE FIRST FOOD I BOUGHT IN TAIWAN.....ok i know the chinese name, but i don't know its english name. If you've watched 转角遇到爱 you would definitely know this dish.

This shop is supposedly famous for its milk tea. (But it's considered pretty expensive in Taiwan)

THISSSSS. First cup of milk tea in Taiwan (AND MANY MORE TO COME)

Must take a photo outside our first bubble tea shop LOL.

Exploring the streets around our hotel. CLOTHES ARE SO CHEAP AND NICE. Regretted not buying much cos we thought Taipei would be better, but turned out Taipei stuff were pretty expensive.

DAY 2
7/11

Time for school~ @ Fudan Senior High School :))) My first impression of them was WOW. When we first stepped into school, what greeted us was students lined neatly in rows holding sign boards with our names on it. (exactly like those you see fans carrying in concerts). We were all so shocked when we saw that, it's as if we were celebrities. I mean I've heard of Taiwan's hospitality, but this was EXTREME :)

Class I was assigned to~ YES it's a sec 2 class (probably cos our chinese sucks lol)

Classroom is exactly like what we usually see in Taiwan movies ;) I've watched Jay Chou's 不能说的秘密 at least 5 times, and to be able to be right there, in almost the same setting, seemed so surreal.

See what I mean by Taiwan is so environmentally friendly! They really sort everything so clearly.

Present I received from my Taiwan buddy ;)

Ok I must really admit that I should stop complaining about Singapore's education system. I think compared to Taiwan we are considered pretty slack. They have school till 6pm/8pm everyday (imagine their reaction when we told them our school ends at 2.15pm everyday haha), and they can't use handphones during lesson. They have to surrender it before lesson and it will only get returned after school (which is like 6pm!) And us, texting/tweeting/whatsapping one another during lessons. ANDDD they can't use calculators during Math lesson. Calculators are like my life...without it I would just fail my whole math paper HAHA. I'm really thankful I'm in Nanyang now ho ho ho.

DAY 3
8/11
Half day school and sight-seeing.

 With Fang Hui.

Cherie.

 <3

I was trying to be funny.

The guard who doesn't move/talk/blink. The only thing he probably does is to breathe.

Dinner was at a restaurant where they filmed a Taiwanese drama 微笑pasta...starring Cindy Wang & Nicholas Zhang.

Tried out KOI in Taiwan too!!! It's called 50 Lan or something. Don't know how to pronounce the last word haha. Koi is much much cheaper in Taiwan.....it costs about $1.50 for a cup! As i'm typing this, i'm drooling I WANNA FLY BACK TO TAIWAN TO DRINK BUBBLE TEA :'(

DAY 4
9/11

Half day school & lecture @ university.... Lecture was on Taiwan delicacies. fml was trying so hard to not fall asleep during lecture i don't know why but i was just so tired during the lecture.

DAY 5
10/11
Last day at Fudan :(((((((((( We didn't want to leave at all.................
Bottom picture: With my buddy. Mad love her. She likes Show Luo & Kyuhyun too...is this a pure coincidence? ;)

With all our buddies! My other buddy is on the far right <3 She's so sweet and nice! She gave me a present on the first day, and many many Super Junior stuff on the last day too (now i feel so guilty for not preparing a nice present). ps she's a SJ fan too hahaha it must be fated or something. And that's not the best part yet, on my birthday, my buddies sent a birthday card ALL THE WAY FROM TAIWAN to Singapore. :')))))) I was so so so touched!!!!
Our buddies will always cling on to our arms and bring us around the school, it's like we are BFFs or something hahaha THEY ARE JUST SO NICE&FRIENDLY&WARM&AWESOME.

There is a long story behind this photo ok. I think only Huixuan knows the whole true story haha.

With the form teacher. She really took such great care of us during that period of time. Although she seemed really fierce to her class, but she's actually a very caring teacher. She bought milk tea for us & specially bought one of the best feng li su (can't remember the actual name) in Taiwan for us :') And she would specially remind us to wear thicker clothes because the weather was getting colder. She's the nicest and most caring teacher ever :') We specially wrote a super long thank you card for her on the last day.

 <3

Haha must post 3 pictures because every photo is just so good. Yessss the class is very big they have like 47 students in a class!!! And since it's a sec 2 class most of them were at least a year younger than us, and some were 2 years younger. But still great time spent with them <3  Though it's a little pity that we didn't get to talk to ALL of them.

As a farewell performance, the form teacher made the boys dance 台客舞 (is this the correct word???) for us. IT WAS REALLY HILARIOUS......  :D Wish I could post the video up here :'(

That's how I spent my first 5 days in Taiwan.....really miss the Fudan students & their hospitality. I woule really want to go back to Taiwan again if I could!!! But at least they are coming over to Singapore on an exchange programme in July! :)))) I will blog on the remaining 9 days on another day. Took 2 hours to type this out....AND YESSSSSSSSS NO SCHOOL TOMORROW--HOME-LEARNING DAY! :) That is why I have the time to blog.
